Prof. T. (Tanja) van der Lippe

Tanja van der Lippe was appointed to the Council on 1 July 2024. She is Professor of Sociology of Households and Labour Relations and Head of the Sociology department at Utrecht University. Professor Van der Lippe is also a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), where she was appointed chair of the Academy’s Social Sciences Council in 2020. She is also a member of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW). Professor Van der Lippe plays an active part in the Future of Work Hub, a platform where academics, organisations and policymakers come together to answer societal questions about the causes and consequences of innovation and globalisation for the working lives of people, markets and public institutions. She previously co-chaired the WRR-KNAW coronavirus scenario study entitled Navigating and Anticipating in Uncertain Times (2021).
