dr. A.S. (Annick) de Vries

After completing her MSc degree in General Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Annick de Vries obtained her PhD in Public Administration from the University of Twente. She then served as a consultant at Twynstra Gudde for a number of years, where she advised public- and private-sector organisations on risk management. In 2013, she started working at the Rathenau Institute, where her portfolio included energy policy. While at the Rathenau Institute, Annick published on topics such as shale gas, nuclear energy and the public dialogue on the energy transition. From 2016, Annick worked at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, at the Energy and Climate Directorate-General.

At the WRR, Annick conducts projects on climate justice and long term climate policy.
