Natalie studied Dutch law at Utrecht University and obtained a master’s degree in international and European law from the University of Cambridge. She then pursued a PhD at Utrecht University, focusing on International Law and Climate Change. Natalie subsequently became a university lecturer there, in the field of law and sustainability. In 2023, she joined the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy as a policy officer. From 2026, Natalie has been working as a research fellow at the WRR on the 'Synthetic Drug Policy' WRR-advisory project.
