Challenges
Many problems in the physical environment have been tackled vigorously in recent decades, but since the turn of the century, environmental policy and the development of a cohesive policy for sustainable development appears to have entered a phase of stagnation. This series explores where the barriers and challenges lie in working towards an effective and broadly supported policy for the environment and sustainable development, which addresses both the domestic challenges and the role of the Netherlands in the drive for global sustainability.
