Climate Strategy between ambition and realism
On June 28th, the WRR report Klimaatstrategie - tussen ambitie en realisme (Climate Strategy - between Ambition and Reality) was presented to State Secretary Van Geel of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM) on behalf of the Dutch government. Three solution pathways
With this report the WRR offers three solution pathways for the climate problem: adaption to climate change, reduction of green house gas emissions and effective global coordination. The report includes suggestions for implementation of effective climate strategy with paying due regard to compicating factors and uncertainties for strategy formulation. The report hereby offers indications for the future of Dutch climate policy within the EU and that of the EU in global context. This WRR report is the result of the project 'Effectief Klimaatbeleid' ('Effective Climate Policy').
